The 1" green vinyl-coated square fencing creates perching for lots of small songbirds while preventing squirrels and larger birds from feeding. The feeder tube is made of durable stainless steel 0.25" wire mesh that is perfect for one quart of sunflower seed or peanuts. Birds can reach their heads through the fencing but squirrels cannot. The flow-through base prevents seed from collecting, so that squirrels are not enticed to cling and feed. The green metal cap lifts for easy cleaning and filling, but the ingenious Squirrel Lock keeps squirrels from lifting the cap. This feeder may be hung using the included 4" stainless steel hanger.
