Beautiful to look at but not very useful if you need it to be squirrel-proof!
Great squirrel action entertainment for my cats just on the other side of the window, but soooooooooo dissapointing as a cardinal feeder.
We set it up and anxiously awaited the cardinals, who come every day along with the nuthatches, chickadees, and others who love black oil sunflower seeds (the only kind you can put in this). What we got was a squirrel picnic pavilion. I called Duncraft and was told you can only put 2 cups of seeds in it or the squirrels can get it. The instructions said 1 pound of seeds, which is a lot more than two cups isn't it? And then the feeder is full of empty shells and has to be removed from the pole to be dumped and put your two cups of seeds back in. Too much trouble for such a short feed time even if it didn't attract squirrels.
