Any squirrel that can not get into this feeder is just not trying. Squirrels hang from the top and hold the lever open.

My mother had purchased this feeder a couple years ago and it is wonderful. It keeps the seed protected from snow and rain so decreases losses due to contaminated seed/moisture, it can be adjusted to allow birds like cardinals to still feed and does a very good job at deterring the squirrels. Our feeder has been damaged beyond a suitable repair only when a bear visited and had its fill. A neighbors model of this feeder even withstood several bear visits and is still in use but he is better at repairing bent feeders than we are!
